See How It Works

Real Savings, Real Service

Five years ago, we started Flat Fee Realtor after watching too many good people lose thousands in unnecessary commissions just to sell their homes. The traditional model worked fine decades ago, but today's sellers are savvier and technology has changed everything. We knew there had to be a better way to help homeowners keep more of their hard-earned equity without sacrificing the expertise and support they need. So we built a business around that simple idea: professional representation shouldn't cost a fortune.

What sets us apart is pretty straightforward. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all packages or leaving you to figure things out alone. You get genuine guidance through every step, from pricing strategy to navigating inspection negotiations to closing day details. We've just structured our services to eliminate the inflated costs that don't actually serve you. Think of it as getting the same destination with a much more sensible route.

"Their contract-to-close guidance was worth its weight in gold. When issues came up during inspection, they helped me navigate everything professionally. Straightforward pricing, no surprises, and I kept more money in my pocket at closing."

Robert Chen

"I appreciated how practical and no-nonsense everything was. They educated me on the process instead of just doing everything for me, which actually made me feel more in control. The commission savings allowed me to make some repairs on my new place."

Lisa K.
Homeowner

"Honest service without all the fluff. I had sold two homes before with traditional agents and honestly got better support here for less money. The listing options gave me flexibility I didn't know I could have."

David Patterson
Repeat Seller

"I was skeptical at first about saving on commission, thinking I'd get less help. That wasn't the case at all. They were responsive, knowledgeable, and made the whole process much less stressful than I expected."

Amanda R.
Homeowner

"The seller education was a game changer for understanding what was actually happening at each stage. I felt like a partner in the sale rather than just signing papers. Smart way to sell your home if you want value and transparency."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you really cover the entire United States, or just certain areas?

Yes, we provide flat fee listing services nationwide across all 50 states. Our model is designed to work with the MLS systems in your local area, so whether you're selling a home in California, Texas, Florida, or anywhere else, we can help you save on commission while getting full MLS exposure. We pair you with local market expertise and provide our proven process support no matter where your property is located.

How quickly can I get my home listed after signing up?

Most sellers are able to get their home listed on the MLS within 3-5 business days of completing our onboarding process. The timeline depends mainly on how quickly you can provide the necessary information (property details, photos, disclosure documents) and your preferred listing date. If you're in a rush, let us know—we've helped sellers go live in as little as 24-48 hours when needed.

What exactly do I get with your service? Do you just list it or do you actually help me through the whole process?

We provide much more than just an MLS listing. You'll get full listing exposure on the MLS and major real estate websites, professional guidance on pricing and marketing strategy, contract review and negotiation support, and hands-on help from contract to close. We're with you through inspections, appraisals, and closing coordination. The main difference from traditional agents is the fee structure—not the level of support. You'll have a dedicated point of contact who guides you through each step of the selling process.

Are your agents actually licensed real estate professionals, or is this some kind of DIY thing?

All homes are listed through licensed real estate brokers in your state who are in good standing with their local real estate boards. We work with experienced professionals who understand the legal requirements, disclosure obligations, and best practices in your market. This isn't a for-sale-by-owner situation—you get legitimate representation and protection, just with a more cost-effective fee structure.

What happens if I get an offer at 9 PM or over the weekend? Will someone actually be available?

Real estate doesn't follow a 9-to-5 schedule, and we understand that. While we may not have 24/7 phone support, we monitor inquiries during evenings and weekends, especially when you have an active listing or pending offers. You'll receive timely responses to buyer inquiries and offer submissions. For true emergencies (like a pipe burst before a showing), you'll have contact information and guidance on how to handle urgent situations that could affect your sale.

I've never sold a house before—is your service only for people who know what they're doing?

Not at all! We work with first-time sellers all the time. In fact, our seller education and process support is specifically designed to help people who aren't familiar with how home sales work. We'll walk you through everything: preparing your home, understanding offers, navigating inspections, reading closing documents—all of it. You'll probably learn more about the process with us than you would with some traditional agents because we focus on educating and empowering you, not just doing everything behind the scenes.

What if the buyer's agent asks why I'm using a flat fee service? Does it hurt my chances of selling?

This is a common concern, but in practice it rarely affects your sale. Buyer's agents are compensated from the proceeds just like in traditional transactions—they're getting paid to bring qualified buyers. What matters to buyers is the home itself, the price, and the terms. Many sellers actually find that saving on commission allows them to price more competitively or net more profit. The flat fee model has become increasingly mainstream, and most real estate professionals are completely familiar with it.

Can I switch to your service if I'm already listed with another agent but not getting results?

It depends on your current listing agreement. Most traditional listing contracts have a specific term (often 6 months), and you'll need to wait until that expires or negotiate an early termination with your current agent. Once you're free from that contract, we can typically get you re-listed quickly with a fresh approach and better cost structure. If you're frustrated with your current situation, reach out to us—we can review your agreement and discuss timing and strategy for making the switch when possible.
